Itinerary

  • 1
Day 01: The peak monsoon is not the right time for the river rafting.

You know monsoon is extremely rainy and causes over flooding that washes away side by side of the rivers resulting into brownish dirty water. Rafting is not enjoyable at all on the flooded swollen dirty water.

The right time for the best rafting is from September to November when the water is of right level with lovely blue color. That is the time when the weather is also pleasant and the rapids give you the crazy kicks.

The day rafting itinerary details go like this.

After early morning breakfast, at 7.30 am, you will be picked up from your hotel. Then, a scenic drive takes you to Charaudi (put-in-point about 65 km: 3-4 hrs) from Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway to Pokhara/Chitwan. After the captain’s safety talk with some simulations, we start rafting in the Trishuli river.

At around 1-2 o’clock, we stop the rafting and come out of the raft to have a nice lunch on the bank of the river. Then we say ‘bye’ to our rafting crew and take a public bus/private vehicle (as arranged by our company) back to Kathmandu or towards your onward destination like Pokhara or Chitwan National Park

The proposed day rafting is the best one for those who are planning to visit Chitwan National Park or Pokhara or Bandipur after the rafting as it is just a few hours drive to Chitwan/Pokhara/Bandipur from the put-out-point.
