    Day 01: The old market place is located in a straight alley along the old part of the Kathmandu city:

    Asan, Indra Chwok and Makhan area. In course of this tour, you will be amazed to see how the time flies. Half a day sightseeing tour ends so quickly. Your eyes never rest. You would be walking in a great wonder and thrill with every item you see in the market - full of green vegetables, dry and fresh fish, dry and fresh fruits, mouth watering sweets & spices , fashionable outdoor boutiques with hanging myriad of ladies dress items and so on. Another eye catching attraction is the local cutleries and kitchen wares made of iron, steel, bronze and brass. Bronze images of different gods and goddesses are worth buying as this area is cheaper than elsewhere. Multi color glass bead necklace (local name is pote mala) market is another charm. They are imported from the country like Czechoslovakia and popularly worn by the married ladies in Nepal.
    The street is full of people from the different parts of Nepal representing various ethnic groups. Do spare your time to catch the Magar, Gurung, Sherpa and Tibetan women in their ethnic attire in your camera.
    Side by side, temples and shrines belonging to Buddhists and Hindus are everywhere. They will keep on alluring you. Your guide will be happy to take you to those shrines and temples for explanation. Do show your interest to them as well, besides the bazaar.
