Itinerary

    Day 01: ARRIVAL - PARO

    The flight into the Himalaya reveals breathtaking views of the great peaks MT EVEREST, MT KANCHANJUNGA, MT CHOMOLHARI, MT JICHU DRAKE, etc., taking you right into the Dragon Kingdom’s scraping airstrip at PARO. On arrival you will be greeted and transferred through the beautiful PARO valley to your hotel - overnight at hotel.

    Day 02: PARO -THIMPU

    The day begins with a visit to the ruins of DRUKGYAL DZONG (18 Km.). This Dzong is of historical importance, from whose ramparts the Bhutanese repelled Tibetan invaders. On a clear day, the 24,000 ft. white-domed peak of sacred CHOMOLHARI (Mountain of Goddess) looms overhead. After lunch at the hotel, visit TA DZONG, the National Museum housed in an ancient watchtower, which has a fine collection of ancient Thangkha paintings, textiles, weapons and artifacts. Evening scenic drive to THIMPU (2 hrs), capital city of BHUTAN and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.

    Day 03: IN THIMPU

    Morning sightseeing to the MEMMORIAL CHORTEN of the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck in the heart of Thimpu town, TASHICHHO DZONG (the Fortress of the Auspicious Religion, presently Govt. secretariat building, which requires a special permit for the visit). So, sometimes, permit could be declined. In that case, visit is organized to have just an external view). Afternoon, visit SCHOOL FOR ARTS, PAINTING & MEDICINE, the national library and Bhutanese handicraft center – Evening drive back to PARO (2 hrs) - Overnight at hotel.

    Day 04: PARO - EXCURSION TO TAKTSANG LHAKANG.

    AM: After breakfast drive to SARTSHAM CHORTEN and then two hours of horse riding uphill will take you to the TAKTSANG MONASTERY. After refreshment, a short trek to the view point to witness a fascinating eye-level view of the famous TAKTSANG MONASTERY also known as the tigers’ nest. PM: After lunch a slow downhill trek to SARTSHAM CHORTEN and then drive back to hotel. - Overnight at hotel.

    Day 05: PARO - DEPARTURE

    After early breakfast, drive to airport for departure flight to your onward destination.

  • 1. Sometimes, visits to some Dzongs and monuments can be closed without any prior notice.
  • 2. Airfare and visa fees are subject to change as per airlines and Govt. regulation.
  • 3. Bhutan visa processing takes 1 week minimum.
  • 4. Please bring 2 copies of passport size photos for obtaining visa at Paro airport.
  1. Tour Leader is subject to pay tax/surcharge both in tour cost, airfare & visa fees.
  • High season months: MARCH/APRIL/MAY & SEPTEMBER/ OCTOBER/NOVEMBER.
  • Low season months:  JUNE/JULY/AUGUST & DECEMBER/JANUARY/FEBRAURY.

Terms and conditions of the Bhutan tours:

1) There shall be cancellation charges on the tour booked

  • Within 21 days from the date of tour: 10% of the price
  • Within 14 days from the date of tour: 15% of the price
  • Within 7 days from the date of tour: 30% of the price
  • Less than 7 days from the date of tour: 50% of the price
  • After arrival in Bhutan: 100%.

2) The cancellation charges will be as follows on air tickets.

  • Once the air ticket is issued, it will not be subject to refund or change of the passenger's name or date of flight.
  • It can only be re-used within the same calendar year, if the same passenger is traveling in the same sector.

3) Unless full payment for the tour and air tickets is received by our Bhutan agent, tour shall not be entertained on 100% confirmed basis.

4) Hotels as mentioned shall be provided on the availability basis, since the envisaged hotels could be full any time as they are not big enough.

5) As all Bhutan tour tariffs are strictly controlled by the Tourism Authority of Bhutan (TAB), they are subject to change or rise without any prior notice.
