Itinerary

    Day 01: ARRIVAL KATHMANDU (1,300 m)

    Arrival at Kathmandu airport – Welcome, meting and assistance at the airport and transfer to hotel – Evening our staff will organize a briefing session on the trek can be made problem free – Hotel & rest

    Day 02: IN KATHMANDU – SIGHTSEEING & PREPARATION – OBTAIN NECESSARY PERMITS

    Breakfast – sightseeing tour to holy temples of Lord Pashupatinath, Boudhnath & Swayambhunath - back to hotel for lunch. After lunch, undertake final preparation for trek; e.g., checking and demonstration of equipments which will be used during trek. If any body needs to buy or get things on hire, our staff will assist you with their company. Dinner – Overnight at hotel. (Have this day a Govt. working day so as to make sure about all permits)

    Day 03: KATHMANDU – LUKLA (2,800 m) – PAKHDING (2,800 M): 2-3 HRS

    After early morning breakfast, transfer to the domestic terminal of the Kathmandu airport to fly to Lukla. It is a 40-45 minute mountain flight that offers a pleasant aerial view of the typical mountainous terrain of Nepal (weather permitting). After landing at the Lukla airport (gateway to the Everest region), take a short rest with a tea break. By that time, our guide will allot your luggage for the porters and start a short trek to Phakding.
    Our walk through the stone paved trails continues by unfolding the devotional prayer rocks with a scenic view of the Lukla village. Today, our walk is supposed to be mild and rush free so as to enable us to get acclimatized. The splendid side by side scenery keeps you excited and busy in capturing them in your camera as it is your first day in the region. After reaching Phakding and settling down in one of the lodges, you can explore nearby monasteries. Over night in tea house.

    Day 04: PHAKDING - NAMCHE BAZAAR (3,440 M): 5-6 HRS

    Today, our walk first takes us to a suspension bridge and we follow the trail passing by small settlements like Toktok and Chumoa and reach Monjo where there is the Sagarmath National Park check post. After the needful checking-in procedures in the post, we proceed to a long suspension bridge over the Dudh Kosi River. The scene with the suspension bridge is awesome. After crossing the bridge, we have to cross 2 more bridges including the bridge called Hillary Bridge. Then after, our continuous uphill walk will take us to Namche Bazaar, a beautiful Sherpa village with plenty of tea houses thriving on tourism. During this uphill trail, we get stunned with the first and lovely view of the Mt Everest (8,848 m) peeping through the gap between Mt Lhotse and Nuptse (7,879 m). We are also greeted by other lovely peaks like Kusum Kangru (6,369 m) and Thamserku (6,608 m). Over night at Namche Bazaar.

    Day 05: IN NAMCHE BAZAAR- A REST DAY FOR ACCLIMATIZATION

    Today is our rest day for acclimatization. On this day, we are advised to undertake some mild walking activities only. With this purpose, we can make an excursion to one of the beautiful nearby Sherpa villages like Thame or Khumjung or Khunde or Khongde. The excursion offers an opportunity to enjoy the magnificent view of Mt Everest and surrounding beautiful peaks immersing ourselves into the wonderful Sherpa culture. Instead, we can also enjoy ourselves simply having coffee or mild drinks in the local cafés and restaurants with high speed internet facility at Namche Bazaar. Over night at Namche Bazaar.

    Day 06: NAMCHE BAZAAR - TENGBOCHE (3,867 m): 5 HRS

    After breakfast, being fresher after a good rest day at Namche Bazaar, we take a trail leading us downhill to Dudh Koshi River (3,250 m). During the walk, we are impressed by the wonderful view of Mt Nuptse, Mt Lhotse, Mt Ama Dablam and above all Mt Everest. Mt Thamserku is so close that we get stunned and try to capture it in our camera as fast as possible. The trail continues through the colorful forest with birch and rhododendron on our way to Sanasa and to Lobuche. Besides, the picturesque flora, the lovely fauna we may encounter here are the endangered musk deer, Himalayan Thar (mountain goats) and colorful pheasants and so on in this area. We take a steep trail to Tengboche en route to EBC. Over night at Tengboche.

    Day 07: TENGBOCHE - DINGBOCHE (4,358 m): 5-6 HRS

    Today, our walk goes from Tengboche to Dingboche passing by riverside trail through the lush green forest of birch and rhododendron (blooming in March/April). After crossing a river en route a mild uphill walk will take us to Pangboche (3,860 m). In Pangboche, our trail starts getting more picturesque with the beautiful presence of several chortens (stupas) and mani walls (walls with prayers) while going through the small villages. From here, the view of Mt. Ama Dablam (literal meaning in Sherpa language: mother’s necklace) is close and so amazing looking as if the mother holding her child. After lunch, we continue our uphill walk to Pheriche (4,371 m) and traverse mildly through the Imja Valley made by the Imja Khola (river) lush with rhododendron forest and then, continue a rather steep uphill trail to reach Dingboche. Over night at Dingboche.

    Day 08: REST DAY AT DINGBOCHE (4,360 m)

    Today, we take the 2nd rest day at Dingboche to get more acclimatized as we are supposed to walk higher next day. In the process of acclimatization, mild activity is advised. So, we can climb the nearby ridge to enjoy spectacular view of Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Lhotse and many more. If you wish to have full rest simply spend your day exploring Dingboche Village with coffee and nice lunch. Over night at Dingboche.

    Day 09: DINGBOCHE - LOBUCHE (4,928 m): 5 HRS

    After breakfast, today we start to climb to Dughla through the Khumbu Khola Valley. Our walk passes by a lovely Chola Lake with the mesmerizing view of Mt. Pumori (7,138 m). The further we walk, the lower the trail goes and cross a bridge over a white water river and follow the trail descending until we reach Dughla. This is Dughla from where our trail goes uphill along the Khumbu Glacier. En route, some of the beautiful peaks like Mahalangur, Pumori and Khumbutse can be clearly viewed. After the Khumbu Glacier, we get closer to Lobuche. Over night at Lobuche.

    Day 10: LOBUCHE - GORAKSHEP (5,160 m) - EVEREST BASE CAMP (5,320 m) - GORAK SHEP: 7-8 HRS

    Today, we can feel our excitement as the Everest Base Camp (EBC) is getting closer. In our attempt of reaching the EBC, we keep walking uphill slowly and steadily to Gorakshep. At Gorakshep, we have to book rooms in one of the lodges (so as to ensure rooms for overnight on our return from EBC) and enjoy lunch with some rest. Then, we continue climbing to EBC. Our excitement gets more thrilled with the fantastic view of the north ridge of the Everest including lovely peaks like Mt Pumori, Mt Lingtern, Mt Nuptse and Mt Khumbutse and some more. The higher we walk up the view gets stunning with a 360 degree projection of the lovely peaks around us. Now, we have to take a steep uphill trail up to Changri Glacier and can spot at a little distance a nice view of Kala Pattar (5,644 m). Our further walk along the glacial trails ultimately takes us to the Everest Base Camp (5,365 m). After exploring EBC with some photo sessions, we follow the same trail and get back to Gorakshep by the late afternoon. Over night at Gorakshep.

    Day 11: GORAKSHEP - KALA PATTHAR (5,644 m) - PHERICHE (4,358 m): 7-8 HRS

    Today we have to first hike to Kala Patthar as it offers the best close up view of Mt Everest. So, we have to start our trek early morning and make sure that we have enough time to reach Pheriche on our way back. Thus, to reach Kala Patthar (meaning black rock in Nepali) we have to walk a couple of hours uphill and reach the famous mountain view point of Kala Patthar from where the view of Mt Everest, Mt Nuptse, Mt Lhotse, Mt Pumori and Mt Ama Dablam gets magnificent. Obviously, we get busy in photography and exploration of the surroundings for sometime. It is from here so wonderful to watch the first light of the morning amazingly turning the peaks into golden color and as the day matures they gradually change into their original color. The time spent at Kala Patthar will be an unforgettable moment in your life. After the exploration, we walk back to Gorekshep following the same trail and enjoy breakfast after our hard morning. Then, we start our return journey back to Pheriche. Over night at Pheriche.

    Day 12: PHERICHE - NAMCHE BAZAAR (3,400 m): 7-8 HRS

    After a good breakfast, we follow a downhill trail to Pangboche. As we are more acclimatized and back from the highest point of the trek, a bit faster walking down does not make any problem. So, today, with our 7-8 hours walk will take us to Namche Bazaar. We pass through Imja Khola Valley and reach Tengboche. From Tengboche, our further downhill walk will take us to Dudh Kosi River and we continue the trail passing by the villages including Tashinga, Sanasa and Kyangjuma. This way, we reach Namche Bazaar where we could have a hot shower and nice food. Over night at Namche Bazaar.

    Day 13: NAMCHE BAZAAR - LUKLA (2,652 m): 7-8 HRS

    Today is the last day of our trek. The walk is comparatively mild as it is mostly downhill and flat. The downhill trail from Namche takes us to the Dudh Koshi River and cross the suspension bridge and continue walk to Monjo where we again undergo some National Park formalities. We stop at Phakding where will have a nice lunch. Our afternoon walk is mostly flat and mild passing through the beautiful rhododendron and pine forest featuring unforgettable Sherpa villages, mani stones and prayer flags en route. After reaching Lukla, book the hotel and it is wise to check with airlines for your return flight to Kathmandu. Rest with good food, drinks and internet. Overnight at Lukla.

    Day 14: FLY LUKLA - KATHMANDU (1,300m): 35-45 min

    Have breakfast leisurely as our guide will take care of check-in procedures with the airlines at the airport. Even our luggage will be transferred to the airport by Sherpas and porters. After the arrival of the aircraft, we can directly get onboard the aircraft from the hotel. Enjoy the scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at the Kathmandu airport, a private vehicle will be waiting for us to transfer to our hotel. Rest and overnight at hotel.

    Day 15: IN KATHMANDU – FREE DAY

    Full day free at our disposal. If we wish we could buy sightseeing tour (optional). Or, enjoy shopping, massage, good food, etc for the whole day.
    Evening, our agent’s representative will pick us up and take us for a typical Nepali farewell dinner. Over night at hotel.

    Day 16: DEPARTURE FOR HOME

    After breakfast, free until departure time for airport. Our representative will pick us up and transfer to airport to connect our flight back home. End of the tour.
