Day 01: Although one full day tour cannot cover all ins and outs of the Kathmandu Valley

Our guide will take you to the 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites:
    1. Kathmandu Durbar Square
    2. Swayambhunath Temple Complex
    3. Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Each of them is equally beautiful and important sites in its own architecture. All 3 sites are the UNESCO declared World Heritage Sites. Kathmandu Durbar Square is famous for the 9 floor pagoda palace (part of the Old Royal Palace: now under repair after the 2015 earthquake); the Living Goddess – Kumari; Kasthamandap (house of wood of a single tree: now under repair after the 2015 earthquake); Freak Street from the time of the Hippies of 60’s. Ashok Binayak Ganesh Temple is the most visited temple for his blessings for success for every devotee.
Swayambhunath Temple Complex is famous by its nick name as Monkey Temple given by the Hippies from the 60’s. It is nicely located on a hill top to the west of the Kathmandu city from where a bird’s-eye-view of the Kathmandu Valley is enchanting. The main temple is in stupa form of the Buddhist art. Although it is basically a Buddhist shrine, but equally revered by the Hindus as well. Harati Ajima Temple is another lovely attraction in the complex. She stands as the mother goddess for the children of the valley, despite of her demonic activities prior to her transformation into the compassionate deity by the Buddha. It is believed so.
Bhaktapur is a typical Newar township located about 13 km east of the Kathmandu city. There is a good road connection. It is about 30 min drive. Your visit to the town will take you back in time. Every nook and corner is interesting and culturally so rich. The more you see, the longer you will wish to spend here. It is a special place to visit. Architecturally, the town is fantastic with its minute wood, metal and stone art. It is a paradise for the lovers of art and architecture. It is medieval wonderland.
After the sightseeing tour, our guide will drop you at your hotel. End of the tour.
